After several years of cutting trees into firewood, we started to put aside logs suitable for milling, as some of the trees were too good a quality to be cut up and burnt. Logs were often milled at a later date by an independent contractor, however we would also 'slab' a lot of timber with a couple of chainsaw mills. This was a tedious task, and cost a lot of time. We decided to purchase our own mill, and wanted something with a bandsaw so we could continue to make slabs.

We purchased a Norwood bandsaw mill from Canada, loved it, and decided to bring it to market in NZ, as we figured there would likely be other people like ourselves who could benefit from a bandsaw mill too.
